Good Evening,

Due to the excitement of Backpacking and Registration (Nov. 7th & Nov. 16th - Dec 1st) that will be happening soon, I am sending this email today instead of Friday.

Additionally, I was out of the Office last week so please hang in there if you reached out to me via email for support. I am catching up on my emails and am grateful for your patience and understanding.

As always, please take good care of yourself, be proactive, and wear warm clothes as the weather is getting colder.

Warm Regards,

Mai Ze Vang | A kind note: Mai Ze is my first name

1) HOW TO FIND YOUR REGISTRATION DATE AND TIME:

ree

Beginning on November 7th, you will be able to backpack classes and view your registration date and time. Below are the steps on how to find this information:

  • Step 1: On/after Nov 7th, log into Wolverine Access and go to your “Student Center”

  • Step 2: On the right-hand side of the screen you will see a box that says "Enrollment Dates" - this box indicates the day you can register for classes

  • Step 3: Click the "details" button in the Enrollment Dates box

  • Step 4: Select the term in the next screen and continue

  • Step 5: You will be able to see your registration date and time indicated in the Enrollment Appointment box. Your enrollment date is issued by the Registrar’s office and cannot be changed.

It is not necessary to meet with an advisor or register with an advisor, but if you would like help with reviewing your winter 2024 courses, please attend drop-in advising with a tentative schedule in mind (advisor appointments have limited availability at the moment). Here are other important dates and deadlines for LSA students, Course Policies (p/f, add/drop, etc.), and great resources on campus.

**Please don’t forget to take care of yourself during this busy month - Well-being for U-M Students.

2) FINANCIAL HOLDS:

  • If students have a Finacial Hold on their account, they will NOT be able to register for classes until the financial hold is cleared. If a Hold exists and the student pays electronically (full payment is made), the hold should clear upon receipt (immediately). If payment is made in person at the Teller Services Office (see below), students should inform the staff member they have a Hold so it can be removed.

Teller Services Hours:

Mon, Tues, Weds, Fri: 8:00 am -4:30 pm

Thurs: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm

Phone: 734-764-7447

3) HOW REGISTRATION APPTS. ARE DETERMINED:

  • Registration Appts.: Assigned based on credit earned as a matriculated student at U-M, or at an accredited institution of higher education and accepted as transfer credit.

  • Advanced Placement & International Baccalaureate exams, and tests: College credit earned through tests taken before matriculation, such as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams, and tests (ACT, SAT, AVL, CLEP, and IMAT) will not be counted for registration priority purposes. *Test credit earned before matriculation will continue to satisfy course prerequisites and count toward degree completion.

***PS. Thank you for being my students. Keep thriving, U-M Wolverines!***
